One more Chanel.I promise, I’ll review some other brand…tomorrow 😉
Chanel’s most popular lip-gloss, Glossimer, is rated 4.3/5 by 418 people on MakeupAlley. In all honesty, I’m not sure I would give it such a high one. No matter how much I adore Chanel and the signature packaging, it surely can not make up for the quality of the product. I find Glossimer way to expensive for the sticky, shimmery-in-a-blah-way texture. However, if you like rather neutral glosses and don’t mind the stickiness, it might be worth a try as there are many nice shades!
I have it in Petit Peche #148, a very sheer subtle pink.
Rated 4.8/5 on MUA and an A+ by yours truly, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet is the best matte lipstick out there. As all makeup junkies are well aware, matte lipsticks are very tricky. Either they’re terribly drying or they don’t leave a proper stain. Not this one though! Chanel RAV is a long lasting matte that feels amazingly smooth and velvety on your lips. It comes in a luxurious black lacquered case. In my experience, no other matte lipstick (be it Bobbi Brown, MAC, Illamasqua…) comes close to Chanel. Check it out!
My preferred shade is #34 (La Raffinee) which suites my fair skin with warm undertones perfectly.
By the time one hits 30 one is bound to have regrets. I have two (three if you count my ex!), one of which is not becoming a makeup artist. Talking about the things I could change… So I did. Actually, both of them, but the other one would be relevant only if this was a blog on clinical psychotherapy. 😀
So, my makeup lessons started this afternoon – it feels good to be a student again, even more so from a teacher’s perspective! Our teacher is a nice lady who used to work for Shiseido in Germany. She is so nice I can’t possibly guess her age! 😉

A few days ago I accidentally shared the blog URL with all my Facebook friends, along with my ex-students. I wasn’t too happy about it, but as it turns out I gained quite a few followers 😀
For the aforementioned reason this blog is and will mostly if not exclusively be focussed on make-up, not so much on sex, I’m afraid!
I’m a proper snob when it comes to two things – education and make-up. A Cambridge degree should come in a Chanel box, as far as I’m concerned!
I’m at my sexiest at airports. I’m pretty sure I’ve been bitten by a travel bug years ago. And a certain weakness for pilots and flight attendants doesn’t help either.
I have 2 and a half piercings. Yes, 2 and a half.
I spent a part of my childhood in Japan, at the time of the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995. The thing I clearly remember is trying to keep my Chanel No19 in one piece. Mind you, I was 12 and the city was pretty much destroyed. Not my precious little bottle though.
I’m a sucker for everything British…apart from fish & chips.
There are quite a few blogs I follow and adore…here is a list of 10 I can think of at the moment:
